This 2007 pamphlet, co-authored with Mark Shepard for the Architectural League of New York’s Situated Technologies series, was an early attempt to reckon with what networked information technologies were already doing to the experience of urban life.
It’s, inevitably, a little dated now, but remains valuable as a snapshot of the moment right before the smartphone appeared, and brought just about every hope and fear explored in its pages to vivid life. Available for free download here (PDF).
